Heat treatment facilities

Drying pallets is a necesity for a lot of customers. Especially in the food and chemical industry they make extensive use of dried pallets to prevent contamination of the productionprocess with mould or other dangerous substances.

ISPM 15 / Heat treatment

Heat treating pallets encompasses heating pallets or other wooden products to a temperature of at least 56 degrees celsius for a minimum of 30 minutes at the core. Any unwanted insects will be exterminated in this process.

As a certified heat treatment company we are obligated to mark products we treated with stamp so it is clear that they were treated. Currently, we use to registration numbers for our treated products: 005 is used for products treated in Heinenoord and 004 is used for products that were treated in Oud-Gastel.

Drying

We are well equipped for drying and heat treating pallets. We have a number of drying facilities in Heinenoord as well as Oud-Gastel.

Besides the drying chamber in Heinenoord and Oud-Gastel we also have a drying tunnel in Oud-Gastel. This 70 meter long tunnel is directly linked to our productionline and was developed specially for PKF. This drying tunnel provides us with the ability to dry and heat treat pallets accordign to ISPM 15 directly during production. This decreases the change of mould formation and increases production flexibility due to decreases fabrication times.
